ENERGI TINJA dan B29 - Ekspedisi Indonesia Biru #13

Energy is a big issue for the grassroots. They used firewood to cook or keep warm.

Then the forest began to disappear and the rest is for the conservation purpose so that the public can not easily take advantage of the wood.

For the substitute, the government provides subsidized kerosene. A few decades later, when the forest is not recovering, and even worse, the government stop the kerosene subsidy and replace with LPG .

LPG, although still subsidized, uneconomical use and access is limited in certain locations.

Alternative energy programs that run by the government is stil far far away. Finally people had to go back to firewood.

This is a translation of the "energy conversion" in grassroot language.
