Spicy Indonesian Tempe | Tempe Bumbu Cabai

Hi guys!
Today we make a soybean recipe called Spicy Indonesian Tempe. Below you will find the recipe in Indonesian and English. I'm really pleased how this recipe turned out! I hope you enjoy it!

Spicy Indonesian Tempe

500 grams of tempe, sliced thinly
2 garlic cloves, crushed and mixed with 1 tsp salt
5 shallots, sliced thinly
***1 Tbs air asam You do NOT need to use this if you cannot find it!
1 tsp white sugar

Ingredients blended together:
10 red peppers
2 garlic cloves
1 tsp salt

1. Add 100 ml of water to garlic and salt mixture. Add tempe and cover completely. Let stand for 5 minutes.
2. Remove tempe from water and fry on medium heat until golden brown on both sides. Flip once.
3. Saute shallots in a small amount of oil until aromatic, then add your blended ingredients. Stir until well combined.
4. Add sugar and air asam if you have it. Donít worry if you donít, it will be very tasty.
5. Add your tempe and cover well with your pepper mixture. Remove from heat.

Tempe Bumbu Cabai

500 gram tempe
2 siung bawang putih, dihaluskan dengan 1 sdt garam
5 bh bawang merah, iris tipis
1 sdm air asam
1 sdt gula pasir
bumbu dihaluskan:
10 bh cabai merah
2 siung bawang putih
1 sdt garam

Cara masak:
1. Tambahkan 100 ml air pada campuran bawang putih dan garam, lumurkan pada potongan tempe, diamkan 5 menit.
2. Goreng matang, tiriskan.
3.Tumis bawang merah sampai kecokelatan, masukkan bumbu halus, aduk hingga matang.
4. Beri gula dan air asam.
5. Setelah agak kering, masukkan tempe, aduk rata, angkat.
