How To Bake APPLE PIE

Apple Pie
Crust Ingredients:
21/2 cups flour
1 cup butter cut in cubes
1 egg
1/4 tsp salt
1/4 cup cold water
1 Tbs white vinegar

Crust Instructions:
1. In a large bowl combine flour and salt. Cut in butter using your fingers until is resembles coarse crumbs.
2. Mix egg, water and vinegar together. Pour into the flour all at once and blend with a fork.
3. Divide dough into two balls. One slightly larger than the other.
4. Wrap both balls with plastic wrap and allow to chill in refrigerator at least 1 hour.
5. Roll dough over a dusting of flour. Place bottom crust in pie dish and place in refrigerator until ready to add filling. (Filling instructions below).

Filling Ingredients:
9 cups apples, peeled, cored and sliced
3/4 cups sugar
1/3 cup flour
1 tsp ground cinnamon
1/8 tsp salt

Filling Instructions:
1. Combine sugar, flour, ground cinnamon and salt. Mix well with the apples. Allow to stand for 15 minutes, stirring a few times in the process.
2. Pour the entire apple filling mixture, juice and all, into the bottom crust. Pile into a small mound.
3. Before adding your top crust add 2 Tbs of butter on top.
4. Roll out top crust and add to pie.
5. Flute your pie edges by pinching with your index finger and thumb.
6. Cut 4 slits in the top of the crust to vent the pie while it bakes.
7. Before baking brush crust with egg wash. (Egg wash instructions below).
8. Sprinkle with topping. (Topping Instructions below).
9. Bake apple pie for 15 minutes at 425 degrees Fahrenheit.
10. Reduce heat to 350 degrees Fahrenheit, slip a baking sheet lined with foil under the pie to collect any drips and bake another 45 minutes.
11. For the filling to thicken properly, you need to let it cool completely (2-3 hours).

Egg wash Instructions:
1 whole egg
1 Tbs milk
Mix well.

Topping Ingredients:
1/4 tsp cinnamon
2 tsp sugar
Mix well.

Apel Pie

Bahan Crust:
310 grams tepung terigu
200 gram mentega
1 butir telur
1/4 sdt garam
60 ml air es
1 sdm cuka

Cara masak Crust:
1. Campur tepung dan garam. Tambah mentega dengan tangan sampai seperti bola kecil.
2. Aduk telur, air dan cuka. Tambah ke tepung. Aduk dengan garpu.
3. Bagi dua dan buat bentuk bulat.
4. Bungkus dengan cling wrap dan simpan di kulkas selama satu jam.
5. Mengguling adonan sampai tipis dan bulat. Taruh satu di dalam pie pan. dan simpan di kulkas.
6. Masukkan pie filling. (Cara masak pie filling berikut).

Bahan Filling:
8 buah apel
gula
tepung
1 sdt kayu manis
1/8 sdt garam

Cara masak Pie Filling:
1. Campur gula, tepung, kayu manis dan garam. Campur dengan semua apel dan biarkan selama 15 menit. Mengaduk setiap 2 menit.
2. Tuan filling. Segelum tambah crust atas tambah sedikit mentega. Kemudian tutup dengan crust atas.
3. Cubit crust atas dan bawah bersama.
4. Potong crust atas 4-8 kali suapaya uap panas bisa keluar.
5. Mengoles crust atas dengan egg wash. (Cara buat di bawah).
6. Tambah topping di atas. (Cara buat topping di bawah).
7. Masak 15 di oven. 218 derajat celsius.
8. 14. Kurangi derajat ke 177 dan masak selama 45 menit.
9. Mendinginkan di meja selama 3 jam.

Cara buat egg wash:
Campur satu butir telur dengan 1 sdm susu.

Cara buat topping:
Campur 1/4 sdt kayu manis dan 2 sdt gula.
